Gabriel Hjertstedt (short game)

Gabriel is recognized as one of the top short game specialist coaches in the world. This is due to his extensive knowledge of the technical side of the short game and to his experience as a touring professional around the world.

Gabriel has helped hundreds of golfers around the world get better using simple, effective techniques to propel their games to the next level. All while making it fun.

Gabriel coaches golfers who are committed to high performance, including three current PGA TOUR Professionals–Charlie Beljan, Graham DeLaet, and Freddie Jacobson.

As a golf instructor, Gabriel is unique in that he also had an extensive career as a touring professional. He is a two-time PGA TOUR champion, and played for 20 years on professional golf tours around the world including Australia, Japan, Europe, and the PGA TOUR in the US. In addition to his professional career, he also had a distinguished amateur career where he won the Doug Sanders International Junior Golf Tournament and the World Amateur Team Championship representing Sweden.

 

Jim Empey (full swing)

Jim was a member of the University of Southern California’s storied golf team in the 1980s. He has been a golf professional since 1984, and has fulfilled a number of roles in the golf industry. He was an instructor at two noteworthy facilities in Southern California, Riviera CC and Sherwood CC.

​In addition, Jim was a member of the Australian PGA TOUR, the Asian Tour, and the Golden State Tour, before becoming the head coach of the men’s golf team at USC.​

​Since moving to Boise in 1997, Jim has been teaching at his studio at Quail Hollow Golf Club, has led groups on golf trips to Scotland, Australia, the Augusta Masters, and Arizona, and been providing golf instruction at TMN and Back Tees Sports corporate events.
